Indoor Activity For Kids:

Cardboard roll quiet activity

Any activity that uses a few easy to find supplies is great in my eyes. Dot stickers and cardboard rolls are all you need to play this game.

This activity is inspired by ideas from Cardboard roll quiet activity.

This activity is great to teach your kids:

Math activities include counting, patterning, sizes and sorting and can be taught with fun and easy to play games and activities.

Fine motor skills involve movement of the smaller muscle groups in your child's hands, fingers, and wrists.

Developing fine motor skills will help your child to write and prepares her for school. But it will also help your children with everyday tasks like eating, and dressing themselves.

Literacy includes reading, writing, and speaking. It is the basis of any child’s learning.

Literacy skills can be taught from baby age with playful games and activities, and continues to be taught at school age where literacy instruction is more formal than just play.

Colour recognition activities helps children get to know the different colors and color blending and matching.

Step 1

Gather all the supplies

Step 2

Take a few cardboard rolls. On one write numbers on one roll, letters on the next and optionally a few colors

Step 3

Write the same on the dot stickers

Step 4

Supply the rolls and the stickers to your kids and see if they can match them up

My preschooler son enjoyed this matching activity but I had to help him by saying, “here's A, where's A on the roll”.

My daughter just played with the stickers and stuck it on the roll randomly. So depending on the child, this activity might be better suited for older kids or kids that are more interested in matching letters and numbers.

For my 7-year-old, I wrote addition facts on his dot stickers and then wrote the answers on the toilet roll. This activity could easily be adapted to any age by using addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division.
