Erupting DIY paint recipe

Everyone loves a good old baking soda and vinegar eruption. But what about fizzing paint?!

With this activity your kids first paint with DIY paint, and then they get to spray it with vinegar, making it erupt.

It’s a great surprise to see the painting fizz.

This activity is great to teach your kids:

Step 1

In a muffin tin, mix all of the ingredients for one color per hole together.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of flour

  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda

  • A few drops of food coloring or paint

  • A bit of water

Step 2

Add the paint filled muffin tin, paint brushes or cotton buds and paper to a play table

Step 3

Invite your kids to play

Step 4

Add vinegar to spray bottles

Step 5

Let your kids lightly spray their art with the vinegar in the bottles to make it fizz
