Activity For Kids:

Gift bow art gift from kids

This art activity for kids gives you a beautiful art work in the end, and your kids will love creating a lovely gift that you can hang on the wall.

This activity is inspired by ideas from Gift bow art gift from kids.

This activity is great to teach your kids:

Fine motor skills involve movement of the smaller muscle groups in your child's hands, fingers, and wrists.

Developing fine motor skills will help your child to write and prepares her for school. But it will also help your children with everyday tasks like eating, and dressing themselves.

Creative activities help children express themselves and create something from nothing, explore materials and activities and use their imagination.

Colour recognition activities helps children get to know the different colors and color blending and matching.

Sensory play is play that involves all the senses - taste, sound, sight, touch and smell. Sensory play is very beneficial to children. Research shows that sensory play builds nerve connections in the brain’s pathways, which lead to the child’s ability to complete more complex learning tasks. Sensory play is also very relaxing and rejuvenating to children.

Step 1

Glue one gift bow to each popsicle stick.

Step 2

Add paint to the paper plates

Step 3

Supply the canvas and let your kids paint away with the gift bows

I bought 2 canvasses and 2 gift bows for this activity. My son painted his canvas with the gift bow but my daughter used the popsicle sticks to paint. But both canvasses turned out beautifully. I asked my son who he wants to give his canvas to, and he said to us, his parents. Awww.

Watch how carefully the students work on their paintings. Notice how they make prints, how they observe the paint when it drips, how they negotiate the space and supplies with each other.
