Activity For Kids:

Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix Gift

My kids love to help in the kitchen, and to make gifts for special persons.

In this activity they get to make a hot chocolate mix for Christmas presents.

Ingredients:

  • 3.5 cups sugar

  • 2.25 cups Cocoa powder

  • 1 tablespoon pink salt

  • Use 1 to 2 tablespoons of mixture per glass of hot milk

This activity is inspired by ideas from Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix Gift.

This activity is great to teach your kids:

Cognitive activities is educational play and is vital for your toddler's cognitive development – that is, your child's ability to think, understand, communicate, make memories, imagine and work out what might happen next.

Step 1

Gather all the supplies

Step 2

To a big mixing bowl add the sugar, Cocoa powder and salt

Step 3

Per mason jar add 1 cup of hot chocolate mix and close the jar

Step 4

Make a gift tag with instructions on and add to the Mason jar with tape or ribbon.

Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of hot chocolate mix to a cup of hot milk and stir

This is not only a great and simple activity to do with kids, but the hot chocolate mixed with milk actually tastes great. I've used two tablespoons of mix with milk but you can easily get away with only one tablespoon.

One of my favorite gifts to give to friends and neighbors is Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix. It’s cozy, thoughtful, and incredibly easy to prepare.
