Reverse Fingerprint Christmas Tree Cards

This art activity is great for kids of all ages - it will keep them busy, and you get a keepsake for friends and family.

It's fun to watch the shape of the tree form as you peel off the shape.

This activity is great to teach your kids:

Fine motor skills involve movement of the smaller muscle groups in your child's hands, fingers, and wrists.

Developing fine motor skills will help your child to write and prepares her for school. But it will also help your children with everyday tasks like eating, and dressing themselves.

Step 1

Print out a small Christmas tree shape or trace a tree cookie cutter with pencil on cardstock and cut out

Step 2

Attach tape to the back of the tree shape so that the sticky side is to the back

Step 3

Attach the tree shape to the front of the card

Step 4

Let your kids paint the card with paint and their finger prints

Step 5

Let the cards dry

Step 6

Peel off the tree shapes from the card and stick to another card

Turn positive and negative fingerprint Christmas tree cards into a keepsake gift by sending one fingerprint Christmas tree to grandma and the other fingerprint tree to grandpa so they end up with a set of fingerprint trees that they can frame and hang as a Christmas decoration!
