Activities For World Meteorology Day

Hi. It’s Sumari from EasyHealthyKids.com.

We recently celebrated World Meteorology Day.

When I think of the world meteorology, I think of my kids’ favorite episode of Paw Patrol where a meteor lands in the town, and gives the pups super powers (I’ve watched that episode almost 50 times, so I know it well).

Of course meteorology is actually about weather, not meteors. So I selected a few of our favorite weather activities for World Meteorology Day.

These activities are simple and you will mostly need paint and shaving cream.

The finished product from this activity looks so mesmerizing and colorful, and it's really simple to do.

All you need are some colorful candy and water to create a beautiful rainbow.

I like this activity because kids get to practice their creativity skills, by making their own weather painting from scraps and paint.

It’s a great fine motor and sensory activity, and they get something that they can be proud of at the end.

This science activity is a great way to use shaving cream/foam if you have it on hand. Otherwise you can add a few items to your shopping basket and you are ready for playing.

Sensory bins are some of my kids' favorite ways to play and relax and it's so easy to setup. You can also add anything that you want to a sensory bin.
